At Finca Mariquita, at 900 meters altitude, optimal conditions converge to create a premium wine: winter frosts, abundant sunlight, an extreme continental climate, and a unique calcareous clay soil that retains the necessary moisture to keep vines green and fresh during harsh summers.
With experience accumulated over generations, where mass production was once the goal, we wanted to prove that with proper care and changed pruning methods, restricting vine productivity to concentrate all substances in just 4 or 5 clusters, we’ve achieved our objective: creating a wine that stands among Spain’s finest.
